20090227-Whacky Day

After mass and breakfast, I started pulling ground covering of small, purple flowers and tall, yellow clovers. Then he came out to help, followed by her. Maw started making loud noises for him to remove the red bricks outlining the front portions of the driveway on either side. This was so that the grass growing up from the driveway would be pulled by the roots, including the soil.

I, of course, got mad and made lots of grumbling under my breathe. Maw said, `Why don`t you both just kill me now?` I then received a big whack on the back of head by her, the demon-seed, who misheard the word `batos`. I looked up and said, `bato!` I knew my stay here is limited as her health dwindles.

I then worked onward to the other side of the driveway nearest the rosebushes and pulled those ground coverings ever so slowly. This technique helps the root to come out in its entirety, well almost until the snap indicates that the pull was not completely successful.

I worked my was to the side of the house and towards the back and started to pull more ground coverings making their way up through the black plastic ground covering and past the ginger rocks of our landscape. I squatted, knelt on one knee and switched to the other and finally found a comfortable position by reclining on my sides while propped up on my elbow.

My green cloth glove offered some protection against the muddy, wet soil left over from the past weeks of rain. However, the holes on each finger tips allowed for some green to dark staining, which came off after a nice, long shower in the evening. The dirt underneath my nails are hard to take off. I was too exhausted to care.

After lunch, I went out to the backyard again. This time I used the electric leaf blower to sweep the remnants of stray leaves stuck upon the soil and ginger rocks and scooted those to the far end of a ditch near the tall eucalyptus tree, which stands, oh, about three stories high.

I realize that gardening is fun under the warm sun. The brown jacket and matching hat created by her provided some warmth in the morning and I found myself stripping down to a sleeve-less T-shirt after warming up a bit. I did notice lots of chemtrails overhead, which blew our way from a westward direction. A stupid light plane kept buzzing loudly southward of our home.

I paid no attention and didn`t care but I thought of sylphs and they came to clean up the skies. I thanked them and everyone else for holding hands. Because, frankly, the way things are going, TPTB are pissing me off big time. THEIR operation is worldwide, Barry. I saw how your face looked haggard on television after that CIA briefing. Haha!

After all these years, the old man was worked on the garden all by himself. The Taurus born on May 3 didn`t complain. He kept on doing what he knows best and that took a long time. He didn`t want to stop until he finished way into the night, like past 8:00PM.

Now that the boy left, the three of us enjoyed each others company and help the old man complete the task in less time. The old timer removed old soil from her hanging, flowering plants, cut the old ones and replanted the arms into the soil for later growth; while the other one cleaned up the stray dried leaves on the rocks, in the trees and elsewhere!

Family is meant to be loud. Sometimes it`s frustrating to hear loudness. I know: this old maid got whacked on the head! Imagine that! But as the teacher walked over a can of Root Beer and actually opened the top herself, thanks was exchanged with each other. It`s enough to know that all was well this day.
