So Maw got a call, which ended around 1930pm that night. The call was from a black lady by the name of Myralene. She had an obvious and distinct accent of a drawl. She was doing an assessment via Athem – Blue Cross.
Maw inquired about her possibly being someone from Obama’s death panel and if disclosing information (such as doctors’ name, their specialty and list of medications) invades the patient’s privacy. The spook didn’t have a quick answer.
I felt it was one of Obama’s way of finding out which of the taxpayers are entitled to health care insurance or if they are illegal immigrants or frauds. I felt the assessment was an invasion of privacy.
Anyway, the spook had the answers (obviously through the computer containing the patient’s information; otherwise she would not have mentioned the first name of the patient) to the questions, which were annoying and very deliberately slow.
The speaker phone was turned on so I could hear WTF was going on with the conversation. I felt the assessment is to test how sharp the minds of the patients are in memorizing the purpose, dosage and frequency of the medications to take.
Maw’s friends told her to just answer the questions honestly because at least the caller, who was gathering this medical health-related data, has a job to do. So that went on for about an hour.
As usual, Maw’s was being very polite and the caller actually gave out her extension number. So that tells you that the private insurance company does provide help when necessary.
