20100528-Custom Menus

Earlier this evening, I discovered `Custom Menus` via Dashboard >> Appearance.

The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar.

How do I create menus?

To create a custom menu, give it a name above and click Create Menu. Then choose items like pages, categories or custom links from the left column to add to this menu.

After you have added your items, drag and drop to put them in the order you want. You can also click each item to reveal additional configuration options.

When you have finished building your custom menu, make sure you click the Save Menu button.

How do I add menus?

There are three ways to add menus:

  • Custom links.^
  • Pages.*
  • Categories.*

^You can add custom links and give it a label.

*You can select all or some menus from pages and categories.

I want children pages!

  • To create children pages, simply drag you additions slightly to the right. This can be done from one of the tabs (i.e. Primary, Secondary, +), which can be renamed to whatever you want! Keep it short, though.

I can’t see my menus!

  • To view your newly created `Custom Menu(s)` for your weblog, go to Dashboard >> Widgets >> Available Widgets.
  • Select the widget labeled `Custom Menu` – Use this widget to add one of your custom menus as a widget.`
  • Click and drag your `Custom Menu` widget into the sidebar(s) and voila! Enjoy the page and children pages!

Hints:

  • `Navigation Label` is the field for the link itself. For example, `About me`.
  • `Title Attribute` is a field for the mouse/hover effect. For example, `Page about moi!`

20100528-Beautiful Day

Today was beautiful. There were lots of fluffy, puffy clouds of white against clear blue skies. The air was crispy and clean. The air was cool enough to walk around Townsend Park from 11:37am to 12:07pm. Maw plucked more gray hairs from my noggin. The parakeets had their fresh air. We had our afternoon nap.

It doesn’t matter who pays to stop the oil from spilling or from cleaning up the mess. What matters is that you tried your best. Thanks.

You tried to fool us. You tried to make another mockery of what was, what is and what is yet to come. What you did affected very little damage.

The only damage is the death of entities residing peacefully on this planet. Will the reptiles from Florida suffer the same fate as countless other residences along the shores and within the bodies of water of the Gulf of Mexico?

Who pays, really? All of us – an arm and a leg, a vessel and a name.

Okay, I’m still trying to figure out this Hopi Prophesy. No offense but I like to offer my interpretation of what I’m seeing here. It has to do with the Hopi Prophecy Rock on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona.

The Creator is an extraterrestrial. The head is ovoid, like a gray. The head is larger than the rest of its stick-figured body, which is quite short at first sight.

The circle is a reference point, a sun, with the dots as the planets or the space-ships flying in a triangular formation.

The big square is a viewing monitor of events. It is broadcasting two paths.

The stick holding up the viewing monitor is what is at `stake` of events and a `stake` on the land upon which it claims as its own.

Two paths are going skyward at a particular angle: As above and as below.

The ones above appear to be three humanoids holding hands. The zig-zag line looks like stairways – perhaps to heaven or to UFOs.

The ones below appear to be three stones and three corns alternating.

Both paths terminate at the same time.

Twice, two stone-ages passed with two humanoids still holding hands.

Twice, two corns grows with two humanoids standing.

The third stone-age shows a break in humanoids holding hands.

There appears to be a headless humanoid or what may appear a crown over a once humanoid, now invisible or in spirit.

The third corn grows at the juncture of the stairways to heaven. There may well have been a fourth humanoid trying to hold hands to help the other three go towards the zig-zag line.

The fourth invisible humanoid may have been a symbol of the one whose purpose is to be erased from the pages of history.

Instead of holding hands with its right, its `left hand` appears to be shaped similarly to that of the corn below, but only half-way or shorter in height.

I cannot make out the last two shapes on the bottom. One looks like the fourth corn fell over and became one with the stone.

Then I see a `cap` biting one of the corn’s `ear`. I picked up crop-circles and radiation. Then I picked up insects destroying crops.

As a result, I could see the height of the fifth corn is half the size. It is the last sign.

20100527-Last Sign

I’m reading a conspiracy discussion thread about `Hopi Prophecy` and wanted to jump ahead on this one:

“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.”

After coming across these `prophecies` long ago, I felt it was time to share my interpretation of the last sign. It’s easy really.

E.T. and pals have been living above the earth in their spaceships, which are cloaked and hidden behind and as clouds in the skies. Those damn space stations will come crashing down to earth and appear as a blue comet-like sight.

Then all religion as we know will cease to exist and wars will break out because, I suppose, some survivors, if any, will reveal the truth. How sad, really.
