Bigger Not Better

Standard

They say: `Bigger is better`. And that big banks are too big to fail. David brought down Goliath with one well placed stone to the forehead. So those who carry LOTS of emotional baggage are weighed down. Think for a moment why having lots of junk, bling, pets, children, friends, CAN wear one down, too.

The Song of Farewell

Standard

The Song of Farewell – To the melody of `Amazing Grace` found on page -15-.

Come to his/her aid, O saints of God;
O angels, meet him now.
Receive his/her soul, present him/her now
to God, the Lord Most High.

May Christ who called you, take you home;
Near Abr’am may you rest.
Receive his/her soul, present him/her now
to God, the Lord Most High.

Give him/her eternal rest, O Lord;
May he have endless light.
Receive his/her soul, present him/her now
to God, the Lord Most High.

I know that my Redeemer lives;
The last day I shall rise.
Receive his/her soul, present him/her now
to God, the Lord Most High.

An kanilan paglisan ay
itinuring na kapighatian,
ngunit nasa kapayapaan sila.

Lemme Go!

Standard

A poem of bereavement found on page -13-.

To those I have loved and to those who loved me,
when I am gone release me: Let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,
you must not tie yourself to me with tears,
be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love you can only guess,
how much you gave to me in happiness.

I thank you for the love you each have shown,
but now it’s time I travel on alone.

So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must
then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It’s only for awhile that we must part,
so bless the memories within your heart.

I won’t be far away for life goes on,
so if you need me — call and I will come.

Though you can’t see or touch me I’ll be near,
and if you listen within your heart you’ll hear
all my love around you soft and clear.

And then when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and welcome you home.

Prayer For The Dead

Standard

A prayer found on page -12-.

All-powerful God,
who has made human beings
in Your image and likeness,
and has forever engraved our existence
with Your kindness.
You give life and You take it back.

We are like a flower in the field:
we blossom with the sun and water
and we are gone with the wind,
for human life is transient in this world.

You sow life in all the corners of the earth
and You call us unto your heavenly court.

We cry bitterly for our losses.

May the sacred memory of the deceased be our light.

May our silent invocation,
our tears,
our undying memory,
together with the faithful image of our dear one,
accompany us all our days.

O God, in your mercy answer us;
make it possible for our brothers and sisters
who are not with us any more
to rest in the celestial peace.

May the memories of their lives stay with us;
may they be a constant blessing
and an undying heritage.

All-powerful God, Lord of Life and Death,
turn our hearts toward those we love so much.

May their nostalgic and blessed memory
become an incentive to our deeds,
today and always.

Amen.

20100630-Noticing Numbers

Standard

While lurking online and reading articles about this company, I saw that they are the number one market leader for `Serial EEPROMs` with thirty-three (33) percent of the market.

That was around 4:26pm.

Then I read some more about `Green Policy` and the ISO 14001 licenses for Pb (lead) and Halogen (chloride and bromine) free solutions for semi-conductor industry. The standards are still no more than 1000 PPM for these two pollutants, including antimony tricoxide (Sb2O3).
