Between 3:00am to 3:13am, I awoke with a scratchy throat and coughed. Then I used the toilet.
I had an inspiration to use a nice background theme showing “The Shepherdess” as suggested by “Jr” and tested several WordPress.com themes until I found “Clean Home” worked best.
I recall fragments of a dream in which there was a flood. Lots of people were around. Daylight was bright. And the rising waters could be seen on my “right field of vision”.
I hollered: “Maw”. As I reached to grab straw-like reeds of hay that seemed like bananas. I imagined some people (circular heads) as represented among the stones to keep the waters dammed up.
Later, the rescue and prayers were said. I don’t remember if there were survivors or if I used a boat or other floating device to get around the flooded area.
Clean Home with the large version of The Shepherdess, looks better than I expected, especially on your blog Flynn.
That was an interesting dream Flynn thank you for sharing it, were you afraid during most of it?
I like it too but I prefer my usual time stamps, which this theme doesn’t have.
As for the dream, my dream self usually participates and/or observes without fear.
So a Time Stamp is where the Time is listed with the date correct?
Nice, that is good.
The “Time Stamps” is created when a post/page is first published and is shown on certain WordPress.com themes. Time stamps for multiple times of (or most recent) edits are not displayed to the public.
Thank you Flynn, I would like to see an example of a Time Stamp on your blog, the next time that you have a Theme that supports it.
My first reply was meant to be in the affirmative: the time stamp is shown with the date stamp in the “meta element” of certain themes.
Yeah, I’ll end up switching themes because I really prefer time/date stamps on my posts and therefore you should use this background image for your weblog. After all, it was your suggestion.
Hopefully some WordPress.com Theme Creators are reading this, they need to know how precious Time/Date Stamps are to you.
So far you did the best job trying to fit The Shepherdess image to a theme, I do not think that I can do better than that, and actually it was your top pick out of some of the possible background images for my theme; and it ended up looking better on your blog.
I am still testing out backgrounds and adjusting image sizes for various images that I currently have, I might make some screen-shots later, so that I can get your Expert Opinion again Flynn on some of my tests, thank you.
I’m sure they are: after all I’ve submitted my ideas/suggestions to them via the use of the Support pages.
It’s too bad WordPress.com doesn’t have an “in-house” chatting system; so I could check out your tests. Hmm.
Well, that is good that you have already shared some of your ideas/suggestions already, and it is too bad that there is not a In-House chatting system yet; maybe one day, I am creating the screen-shots now, so it should not take too long Flynn.
Okay: I am waiting… It must be good because it is taking TOO long.
I sent them through your Contact Page already, I was going to post them here too, but I could not find this page; prepare to be disappointed.
Hello Flynn,
Here are the screen-shots of my current tests, feel free to share your opinions (good, bad, and everything between) and your top pick(s):) :

Thank you Flynn.
Okay, I think I prefer the “natural/realistic” look, such as: 8313 (scary); 8317 (nice) ; and 8318 (normal). The “dune” character has no pupils; thusly it gives the image of someone with an “empty-soul” look. I’m not feeling the “gray” thresholds.
My concern is the screen resolution used to achieve the images on either side of your screen. Not too many people have “wide-screened” monitors, you know. Take these factors into consideration when choosing and displaying your background images.
Those were some good picks and some good points there Flynn, thank you.
I forgot that I even had a Wide-Screen Monitor (oops), I know this is a stupid question, but what can I do exactly to help better choose & display my background images without a normal screen?
Also on: “8313 (scary)”, did you mean: (Scary) as in the mood/theme/etc. of the image, and that you liked that image (which is what I think that you meant) or (Scary) as in that image was scary in a negative way & that you did not like it? (I just want to make sure that, I am not misunderstanding you there.
)
Scary sword, scary skull, scary scowl…
Perhaps you could create a poll and/or a post and allow other WordPress.com members help you out with your inquiry. Again, it may depend on the screen resolution.
Good idea Flynn, but no one ever voted on my last poll, which was about which theme should I pick; I had three choices and a space for anyone to enter their suggestion.
Yeah, I was going to reply by leaving a comment — theme Enterprise.
I see, that is now clear, thank you Flynn.
Ooh, nice, thank you Flynn; is that still your top pick versus Twenty Eleven & Steira?
Yes because the Enterprise theme has two navigation menus, which you could use for information (primary) and categories (secondary). But I see you don’t use categories/tags all that much.
Also Enterprise is more compact and allows a somewhat easier navigating experience I think, though the text could be a bit larger.
Yeah, I only have two Categories at this time, hehehe.
Thank you Flynn, I might try Enterprise again; have a good night.
