Rearranged computer room…

Hahaha! I’ve rearranged my computer room again! Now, it’s really Feng-shui compliant!

Here is a walk-through starting at the bedroom door, which opens inside.

We will keep walking straight along the wall to the left and see in the following order:

  • The mini-fire extinguisher acts as a door stop.
  • The black-colored pole lamp (with a white frosted shade opening upward) is the only electrical item plugged to this double electrical outlet.
  • The bed itself with the wooden headboard is against the wall to the left.
  • On top of the bedside table, there is a fax machine.
  • Turn right at the next wall and an electrical switch to the flood lights for the backyard is located on this wall.
  • Below the first window, the AT&T modem (with its battery backup unit) is plugged in the double electrical outlet.
  • After the middle window, there is the third window. The computer workstation is located at this third window. A wireless phone and the power strip is plugged into another double electrical outlet.
  • Turn right at the next wall and here is the mirrored, dresser drawer with the two scanners on its/my right/left.
  • Next is the tall amoire dresser drawer.
  • Turn right at the next wall, which is really the double-mirrored, BIG closet.
  • The tall white fan is next to the calendar, which is next to the electric switch to power the pole lamp.
  • The bedroom door is now to the left.
  • Exit to the small hallway of the second story.

Slimeball scout…

“Scout’s honor.” I expect those to uphold this statement and NOT be a double-faced liar in front of the voting public for our potential POTUS in 2012.

The current front runner for the GOP is not “pretty ugly” but is tough enough.Maw doesn’t like the “second runner up” because she sense that the android is a “slimball”.

Cleaned upstairs windows and roof…

Well, after lunch, I took off five pieces of screens from the windows upstairs and started to soap and hose down the items in the backyard. At around 7:00pm, I finished taking my shower after trimming my nails and cuticles quickly and after finishing our cleaning about a half hour earlier.

“I thought we are done [cleaning]!” ~Exclaimed Paw as he finished washing his hands in the kitchen sink and reluctantly donned his working clothes of plaid shirt, dark blue pants and military cap.

Maw was already cooking dinner of coconut stew while I helped Paw “load” the ladder for us to climb onto the roof. Maw climbed too but we refused the old hag to join us. Instead she “helped” by scraping off bits and pieces of dormant mold in between the asphalt roof shingles.

That was our goal: to scrap off as much green mold and lichen of yellow, pink, and white colors. We did so on the “north” facing shingles as drivers of various sorts (and the police driving around as “citizen” vehicles).

Paw used the dust pan and “walis” to broom the caterpillar-shaped fur balls and gather them into a plastic bag. The remaining loose ones were hosed down by moi. I helped clean out Paw’s gutter of eucalyptus leaves and flushed the sediments with the garden. It was a task he used to do but now I’ve made my services available to the old timer.

Maw then helped flush down the fur balls down out driveway, off the sidewalk and into the gutter headed straight for the Bay Area. She wouldn’t stop narrating while working. I hushed her from the second story. She just doesn’t get it!

Then I replaced the screens after wiping down two front facing windows. I had to hose down the two back facing windows prior to the screen. With Maw’s maroon-colored aluminum cane, I wrapped a terry cloth around the stick and secured it with a nice rubber band. That extension served as a wiper for the hard-to-reach section of the windows.

I didn’t feel much pain during the activities, except last night’s stiff left should and painful back and today’s soreness in the thigh muscles from stooping while working on the roof. Of course, I kept flicking off curious on-lookers with my hidden middle finger while pretending not to notice. Bahahaha!

Threading out hair…

For the first time ever, I got a full face, threading service of removing facial/eyebrow hair! That’s right! After walking around the Great Mall (in Milpitas, CA) many times in the past, I decided to visit the “Eyebrow Designer 21″ near the fountain. For 45 minutes (from 11:40pm to 12:25pm), I patiently had my facial/eyebrow hair removed by “Neeshia”, a South Asian Indian. The elderly couple was patiently waiting for me, too.

The painful areas are EVERYWHERE as I felt AND heard hair come out. I was willing to undergo pain for beauty because my goal was to have those stubborn hair follicles yanked out so that the thickness of my hair, especially that of my “sideburns”, will be thinner each session. I plan many more visits for this VERY beneficial service. The results are a smooth and now hairless face. Now all I need is a laser therapy to “discolor” out my freckles and other facial blemishes.

What I like about this threading of eyebrows and facial hair is the process. It doesn’t leave redness or use harsh chemicals. Even the wiping down with witch hazel helps the skin. I didn’t know that “witch hazel” didn’t hurt the skin like rubbing alcohol. So I’ll get one bottle for my personal use as part of my “beauty regime” later on.

Here is the information I picked up during the first circuit of this morning’s walks.

Threading — The art of hair removal by “Eyebrow Designer 21″

Benefits of threading over waxing

  • Does not peel off a layer of skin and skin does not sag.
  • Hair does not grow back as fast.
  • Skin does not get as red and irritated.
  • Can pull out specific individual hairs.
  • Hair does not need to be long, but just above the skin.
  • Will not produce more hairs or make hairs stronger.
  • Will pick up the finest hairs from the surface leaving skin smooth.

Threading hair removal process: Threading has been used to remove unwanted facial hair since ancient times. It is a common method used in the East. When properly done, it can be used to shape the eyebrows with a clean defining edge. It can be used to remove hair from the upper and lower lip as well as other areas of the face. The procedure utilizes a length of thread, which is twisted back and forth along the hairs, which are to be removed. The twisting action of the thread traps the hair and lifts it out of the follicle. This method of hair removal is more effective and less painful than tweezing.

  • Eyebrow shaping for women $10 and men $12.
  • Chin threading for $6.
  • Upper lip for $6.
  • Side burns for $6 (each).
  • Full face $30.
