20120110-Random Notes

20120110 · FLYNN

Here are my notes via the “Memo” app of my cellphone:

19:31. The boy us how Joe’s dog (a doberman pincher) didn’t like skateboarders and would growl and bark whenever it would see one passing by. This was because skateboarders travel “unnaturally” and the dog saw that. The boy said he didn’t like a horror show of a “ghost mother” floating across the upstairs floor. Come to think of it. It’s almost midnight and I’m sleepy.

17:01. I was prepared to get up when I looked down at Maw’s slippers, which I am borrowing. They were from the Philippines and the ligth aqua-colored, plastic pieces had worn off and exposed the light brown-colored cushion underneath. I said under my breath and perhaps loud enough for the boy to hear me: “I wished I had comfortable slippers.” That would be nice instead of expensive running shoes.

13:33. I awoke from my two-hour, mid-afternoon nap at 13:13pm. I was in the middle of steaming cabbage and carrots. The “kamote” squash of dark green skin and deep orange pulp was steamed earlier. The “kamote” squash tasted like sweet potato. With the dark orange/yellow vegetable, I am sure to get some Vitamin A here naturally.

10:47. Read about “Ruth” via the WM feed and saw a Biblical passage. “”The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” It was a topic of taking care of ill parent(s) and their passing. I had awoke from my two-hour, mid-afternoon nap yesterday and saw deep blue twilight skies and the unmoving cypress trees next to our eucalyptus tree of the side street (or MY long stretch of road). I thought of how we lived on the corner house; how we had been rejected by ungrateful relatives and the boy and his wifey, the Chinese twit and how I too am the caretaker of my two elderly parents (or bio-units in past blog entries).

10:30. While watching a cable news programming on television, we were listening to the ten o’clock morning program – America Live on FNC with Anchor Megyn Kelly, who had interviewed former Speaker Newt, who explained how everyone is in/on the same boat in reference to “corporate raiders” (such as Mitt and pals) raking in millions of money from bankrupt companies and with regards to laying-off/firing people. I had images of little pupas inside a petris dish and God could save each precious.

10:13. I learned from Paw’s wise words: “Drink lots of fluid to flush out the bacteria.” Maw noticed that I don’t drink much water after eating each meal. That’s because I’ve gorged and there is little to no room left for liquid. Plus, the extra matter in my stomach could be expelled at anytime during surprise attacks from bouts of flu-like symptoms, such as spasmic coughing.

09:59. We were eating a late breakfast/early lunch (or brunch) when I had another random thought about people throwing stones/rocks at Satan, a phallic symbol in Mecca. I visualized defending Satan and how each stone/rock cast chips away at a fragile eggshell. Eventually, the true form from within the eggshell would be revealed. Too early or too late, it would die.

09:40. I learned from Paw’s wise words: “You know you are getting better when you hack thick mucus, which is easier to bring up from deep within your lungs. I know because it happened to me.” We we en route home bound when I let out another allergic-like phelm in the color of yellow. It’s a good thing Maw had her box of tissues available.

09:40. I learned from Paw’s wise words: “The rule of the sea goes that when in distress, “humanitarian rescue” must be done, even during times of war.” It so happened that Iranian fishermen were hijacked by pirates near the Strait of Hormuz.
