20120206-Random Notes

Here are my notes via the “Memo” app of my smart/cellphone:

2012/02/06 18:50. We were watching “Hannity on FoxNews“. I noticed Vince Flynn, the author of “Kill Shot” was a guest on the show. When I saw the words “kill shot”, I noticed how the synchronicity of my previous thoughts was about Maw’s arm sling, which I kept referring to as: “sling shot” as a joke. The two words also brought to my mind about the word “assassination” and hopefully not unto moi, of course. With regards to the author’s last name, I recall a commercial about “Anthony Flynn. I am the owner and founder of YouBar.” Notice how Flynn will seem quite “discretely” as messages unto moi. Thank you.

2012/02/06 11:14. I noticed how the social engineers are putting Obama down while putting Mittens up. This is symbolic within a certain group of people who are influencing public opinions about potential POTUS.

2012/02/06 10:36. While washing the dish and while listening to a news cable programming on television, I had a thought about how the “conservatives” are using the platform of a dead man, such as Ronald Reagan. Yesterday, Maw told me that I should use my own ideas and NOT copy the ideas of others. So there you go.

2012/02/06 10:49. I forgot to add one quarter wedge of sliced onion. At 10:46, we dissolved on tablespoon of “McCormick Beef Stew Seasoning Mix” in cold water before adding into the turkey stew for taste.

2012/02/06 09:25. Maw and then later Paw was chopping ingredients for a turkey stew/soup: some dark turkey meat, four carrots, four celery stalks and about “two pounds” of turkey stock.

2012/02/06 02:20. At 02:19, I head another single but softer tap somewhere to my right of the mirror to the wooden dresser drawer furniture.

2012/02/06 01:51. At 01:48, I head a single LOUD thump on the window. At 01:50, I head a soft tap of “paper” near my computer monitor area.

Veggie and pompano fish soup…

At 12:31pm, here are my quick notes during the cooking/boiling of Maw’s “sinigang” soup recipe:

(12:08)

~Clean fish yourself or better yet have the butchers remove the fins and innards.
~Boil two small “gabi” (or oblong-shaped, taro roots, skinned and sliced vertically in half).
~Boil one “handful” of green beans (cut off the stems) with 1.5″ wedge of onion.
~Remove green beans and boil (small) Napa cabbage, sliced vertically in half.
~Add one tablespoon of “Sinigang” soup base mix (Mama Sita) and fish sauce (Rufina) to taste.
~Remove green beans, taro roots and Napa cabbage and set aside in bowl.
~Boil one Philippine eggplant, cut into 1″ discs.

(12:31)

~Add ONE pompano fish, cut in half (one head section, one tail section).
~Add back the green beans, taro root and napa cabbage.
~Boil all ingredients, say another 20 to thirty minutes, until fish is cooked.

Enjoy!

Don’t ask…

Here is familiar rule to follow: “It is better to give than to receive”. But how do you know when to give? Do you wait until later or act right now?

In every instances there are opportunities to give from the heart. Sometimes you’d have to take the initiative and “be there” for the person/animal/plants/etc. And this is done so without second thought or ill-will. And most likely the recipient doesn’t ask for anything. You’d know and feel when is the right time to act on that nice rule.

For example, Maw wanted to cook two packages of “tinapa”, or a peculiar type of smoked fish outdoors. Earlier, we had bought $10 (or $5 for ten fish) from a short, smoking Filipino man who was selling in front of Valerio Bakery where Paw had bought some “pandisal” for our morning’s breakfast. I helped her carry and hook up the electric wok under the patio in the backyard.

After a few minutes of freezing winds, she had finished deep-frying/disinfecting the smoked fish. I noticed that she had enough strength to bend over and unplug her electronic appliance. Knowing that she was still limping from her bout of gout on her right foot, I hurriedly gathered the cooked and cooking items to bring indoors, just as she hobbled into the warmth indoors.

This sort of universal “friend-ship” is supposed to be what “love” is all about — providing support when necessary. Sometimes you won’t hear a word of thanks from certain parasites/leaches. You’d feel if they are nice enough to acknowledge your effort. If not, avoid them. Somehow gratitude is later reciprocated in the form of lunch. And that, my friends, is thanks enough.

Feeling sick…

Maw and I have been feeling sick since July. Paw seems to be unaffected physically but is getting on with age. For example, he was rearranging the metal pans in the “bread warmer” drawer located underneath the oven. He left two cookie sheets on the kitchen floor and just discovered it a few minutes ago while going about his usual nightly routine of taking his medication with a few unsalted crackers.

Last year, I tried using DC’s zapperto burn off the oncoming cold in my sinuses and back throat area. But the contraption was too bulky and I was too lazy/tired to hold it in place prior to drifting off to sleep. I keep forgetting to use the Zapper Z4e.

I figured there has to be an explantion for our flu-like symptoms.

  • Supplements: I think my system couldn’t take the load of detoxifying with parasite/liver flushes and thryroid drops.
  • Food: We have been eating the same Filipino food for the umpteenth time. Our system is probably getting too old to digest rich food. Our appetite is waning, too.
  • Karma: Scolding the twit and the turd around August 13, 2010 might have transferred their superstitious cooties on both of us. Actually, it might have started since July 19 when Bill, the twit’s older brother, died
  • Chemtrails: There were lots of chemtrails these past few days. We used to work in the garden a lot and might have inhaled molds and other contaminants in the air from ongoing constructions with the “water project” in the streets.

So whatever is happening it’s been one-half year of battle. Maybe we are ready to pass on…

Craving Pop-Tarts…

“Mom! Dad! Can I have pop-tarts! Please???” I asked them several times.

But they continued to walk with their DeCA shopping cart clockwise to the next aisle; while I shopped for a favorite childhood snack: Pop-Tarts!

I got the Frosted “Hot Fudge Sundae” from the Ice Cream Shoppe edition.

“With a chocolate crust, smooth vanilla filling, vanilla and fudge icing, and colorful sprinkles, this chompable sundae is a thing of beauty.”

Usually I like any chocolate and the cinnamon ones taste good, too.

I’m enjoying the second helping from one of three foiled wrappings per box OMG! I’m in heaven. At least the snack treat is NOT that sweet Washing down the foodstuff is best with milk, my favorite laxative (due to my being lactose intolerant as I got older).

(Note: No Nyan Cat with body in the shape of a PopTar was harmed in the consumption process. Nom-nom-nom-nom-nom.)
